What it does

Point it at a subtitle file — or a folder full of them — pick the language you want, and it writes out a translated copy next to the original. Every timestamp, line break and position tag stays exactly where it was, so the subtitles still land on the right frame. The original file is never overwritten.

Honest about quality

Machine translation is good, not perfect. Dialogue with jokes, slang or heavy accents will occasionally come out flat or plain wrong. For following a film in a language you do not speak, it works well. For professional subtitling work, it is a starting point, not a finished product. That is why the review step exists.

Which languages does it handle?

All the widely used ones, in both directions — including English, Arabic, Spanish, French, German, Turkish, Hindi and Chinese. If the pair you need is missing, tell me.

Are my subtitle files uploaded anywhere?

Subtitle text is sent to the translation service to be translated — that is how translation works — and nothing is stored afterwards. No file names, no viewing history, and no account. Details are in the privacy notice.

Will it ever cost money?

The app is free. If a future version adds something expensive to run, that part would be optional and clearly marked — what is free today stays free.
